About

I am a business anthropologist, cultural analyst and founder of JC Innovation & Strategy (JCIS), a consultancy in London. I am married to a photographer and we live in Crystal Palace, South East London with our three sons.

I have spent over 15 years consulting for global brands and organisations, helping them understand how culture shapes the behaviours of their consumers. As an anthropologist, I formulate ideas by understanding the ways in which different components of culture link together to form complex webs of meaning that influence how people think and act. This blog will therefore offer commentary based on my interpretations on how culture shapes behaviour and business thinking.

You can read about some of my work and thinking in the Financial Times and Dezeen Magazine. For a more comprehensive CV please click here.
